Catch of the Month If you would like your catches to feature in the Rinn-Shannon & District Angling Club Catch of the Month Section please submit all photographs to the Web editor by email- val.fitzpatrick@gmail.com or by post to- Rinn-Shannon & District Angling Club Main Street Mohill Co. Leitrim. All current R.S.D.A.C members can apply. Please leave as much detail as possible about your catch and include high quality photographs where possible. Each months featured image will be decided by the committee based on size,species, weight and where/how it was caught. All featured catches must be caught within the specified month. May's Catch of the month goes to Danny Levy who caught this magnificent trout on a dryfly on Lough Sheelin last month. As soon as he hooked it he knew it was a good fish as it stayed deep for several minutes. R.S.D.A.C Asst Chairman Jarlaith Gallagher was on hand to net this leviathan after a spirited 25 minute struggle. The fish topped the scales at exactly 6lb and was a personal best for Danny. The fish was also sportingly returned to fight another day. Well done Danny.

Once again this months Catch of the month title is awarded to talented Cavan angler Danny Levy who having recently taken up flyfishing for pike over the close season for trout, found him self enjoying some excellent sport on a recent trip to Lough Rowan. Danny managed 2 pike ranging from 8lb 9ozs- 9-13oz which he informed me fought like demons. Thanks Danny for the photos and video and well done. This month's COTM goes to Mohill angler and club PRO Jarlaith Gallagher who caught a fine rainbow trout on a Sligo lough recently. Jarlatih was accompanied by fellow angler and close friend John Cloughley who duly obliged and took some excellent photographs of Jarlaith's quarry which are displayed below. Jarlaith informed me that the fish which was a little over 3.5lbs took and a black and green lure and fought right to the net. John also had a fine fish so well done to both of the lads and thanks for the photographs and reports as always.
